I noticed that Emerson was being very clingy last night, which I loved because I was already sick on the couch anyways. This morning when she woke up her eyes were a little puffy but she gave me her usual "Hiiiiiii Mama!" and we were on our way to school. I had thought about staying home but I had our awards ceremony so I couldn't really miss. I dropped Emerson off at school and she didn't really want me to leave, usually she goes straight to playing with her friends. Sure enough, right after 8:00 Mrs. Marti called and told me she wasn't acting like herself so I called and made her a doctor's appointment, and as soon as the awards ceremony was over I headed to pick her up.
She had perked up a little bit, but as soon as we got in the car she passed out. Unfortunately, she has an ear infection which probably stemmed from allergies. After all of this rain we are both suffering!
Since I had to talk a half day we decided to make it worth it by treating ourselves to Chick-fil-a before we headed home. As soon as we made it home we ate our lunch and passed out...for 3 hours. We are both feeling a little better, which is good because I would like to start off our summer healthy!

Emerson will respond to "How are you?" with "Good!"
Greets us in the morning with "Hiiiiiiiiii Mama, or Dada" in the sweetest voice
Enjoys watching Sesame Street and Super Why (AKA Elmo and Why according to Emerson)
Weighs 28 pounds
Wears size 3T
Wants to watch Elsa and Anna five thousand times a day...we let her watch it once and then we have to change the subject or distract her with something else.
Enjoys playing fetch with Tucker...inside
Still obsessed with bubbles and chalk
Likes to rough house with dad and snuggle with mom
Occasionally wakes up in the middle of the night
Loves holding hands...melts my heart
Is ATTACHED to her babies, she has to have both to sleep, which put us in a bit of a pickle when we left one at daycare one day. Whoops!
Eats us out of house and home. Favorites are eggs, avocado, kiwi, and any type of berries
Says "Good Job"...sometimes to herself. Lol
Uses her manners (most of the time) saying please and thank you
Loves to go on rides in her wagon
Knows her numbers 1-5...occasionally can count higher if she's in the mood
Can say the ABC's with you
Prays for her friends and family by name at night. We start off by saying "Dear God, thank you for our friends and for our family" and then she names all of her people. It is so sweet, and makes my heart smile. Her favorite part is saying "AMEN!"
Loves to read and Mrs. Marti says she enjoys doing preschool activities with the older boys at school
Is a mess! She is constantly getting into something. She broke the arm off of my glasses last week. Grrrrrr...so discipline is becoming more of a consistent part of our lives.
She is the cutest little toot ever! I fall more in love with her every day. She has such a sweet and adventurous personality. :)

Being her mom is such a blessing! And it really gets sweeter and sweeter. I'm so happy that I'm only two and a half days away from spending the summer together. Yay! Happy 20 months, Emerson Paige! We love you to the moon and back!
