Eleanor is four months old!

I can't believe Eleanor is already four months old! She is growing like a weed. So much has happened, here's a look at her exciting month!

She is full of smiles and giggles (she finds Emerson especially funny)

She slept in her big girl crib for the first time.  (It was actually a fluke.)  Emerson was watching a movie in our room when Ellie was ready to go to bed, so after I fed her I told Nathan to try and lay her down in her crib, fully expecting her to wake up or fight it....but she continued sleeping.  She was still asleep when I went to bed so I just waited until she woke up.  But when I woke up at 5 I went in to find her in her room talking to herself.  Sweet baby!

She has started grabbing toys that are in front of her (and my hair). It makes laying on her playmat more fun for her now!

Most importantly, she started going to school with sister! I'm not sure who was more excited, Emerson or Mrs. Marti. :) She has adjusted really well.

She is still drooling like crazy and has her hands in her mouth all the time, I feel like teeth are on the horizon--all this drool better be worth something!

She is wearing size 6 month clothes (for length) and size 2 diapers.

She loves sitting up in the bumbo.

She took her first trip to the zoo! (She slept most of the time, but I'm still counting it.)

She currently drinks 4 oz at a time

Thinks Emerson is the funniest!

She has rolled over both ways

She made it through her first church service!

Celebrated her first Valentine's Day

Makes eye contact and smiles and giggles, she tries to carry on her own conversations

Likes playing on her play mat

Enjoys going for walks in the stroller

Rocks herself back and forth, we don't even need a rocking chair anymore!

Here are some of our favorite pictures from this month!

Eleanor-3 months

This month we are having a guest blogger...in all fairness he typed this up when she turned 3 months old but I am just now getting the chance to sit down and publish it with pictures.  Here is his post:

"Hello all! I am your celebrity blogger tonight! I am not as good at this as my lovely wife, but I’ll give it a try!

We have a lot to catch you up on in regard to Ellie. She is 3 months old and such a big ball of sweetness. She laughs now. Her little belly laughs are the cutest! She smiles on a regular basis and talks up a storm! She tells us stories with a tone of excitement, some with a face of concern, and some with a casual, “top of the morning” tone.  All of her stories are interesting and informative.

Staying at home with Ellie has been such an eye-opening experience for me. I have an new-found respect for stay at home parents and their daily struggles. Here are a few of my struggles:

1.     When an inauguration prevents you from watching Let’s Make a Deal and Price is Right
2.     When you have to clean a bottle and fill it with milk while holding a crying baby.
3.     When all you need is a LITTLE more sleep but your daughter is ready to party… at 6:30am. Good thing I have a terrific wife to feed her all night!
4.     When you realize you are seeing friends for lunch and haven’t showered yet… go stinky or take that 75 second shower!

This month, Ellie:

-       Rolled over once from tummy to back.
-       Had her first Christmas
-       Follows us with her eyes and listens to the speaker
-       Takes short naps; sleeps 7 hours straight during the night.
-    Spent a lot of special time with did since mom went back to work
-    Started laughing
-    Prefers to sit up and look around so she doesn't miss out on anything important"
