Ellie: Months 10 & 11

Our family has been on the go lately! I started a new job, the girls have gone back to Ms. Marti's, Nathan is still busy at work and is also coaching Emerson's soccer team, I started helping teach Sunday School, we went to Fredericksburg in July to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary, traveled to California in early September for a wedding, threw my sister a baby shower, took a trip to Canton, went to Lufkin for Labor Day weekend...maybe that's all? Probably not--but those are the highlights. All of this to say that I missed Eleanor's 10 month blog post! Booooo. So this is a 10/11 month update!

Shortly after the last post (like 2 days later) Eleanor got it all figured out and started crawling! She has been on the go ever since.

She is pulling up on furniture, people, pretty much anything that will help her stand up.

She is finally eating!!!! Baby food was not her jam, but she is loving solid food.  Peas, turkey sticks, (sounds gross, but she gobbles them up) and bananas are her favorite.

Emerson taught her to give "sugars" and they are the sweetest, when she is willing.  If you catch her at a bad time she will stick her hand in your face and push you away.

Eleanor loves her sleep, she is her mother's daughter.  In the mornings I usually have to wake her up. If she does wake up on her own she plays quietly in her crib. God has really blessed us! Lol

She has 4 teeth now, and seems to be working on some more.  (the top 2 showed up this month)

We finally moved her from sitting in her Bumbo to eat to using her own high chair. Her chunky legs and wing span (ahem...ability to knock over everything within a three foot radius) made this a must.

She experienced her first ponytail

She loves singing/listening to nursery rhymes

She enjoys long strolls along the carpet, and picking up every little thing that gets stuck to her little hands...and proceeds to put it all in her mouth.

Holds both of her arms up in the air when you say "touchdown!"

Happy 11 months Ellie Bellie! You are developing your own little personality.  We are blessed to see you grow and change. We thank God we get to be your mom and dad!

Ellie Bellie's 9 month update!

Eleanor is nine months old! 

-Loves being read to

-Has two teeth (on the bottom)

-Pulling up on everything

-So close to crawling, just needs to put it together

-Loves to sleep, thank the Lord! She smiles and kicks her feet until we give her her blankie.  

-She dances and squeals when we turn the bath water on

-Ate bites of banana, blackberry, watermelon, and puffs.  She definitely prefers to eat foods that she can feed herself 

-Claps her hands when she's excited

-Calls her bottles "baba" 

-Still scooting herself around

-Spent her first weekend away from us while we were in Vegas for a wedding. (She did great!)

-Enjoyed weekly playtime at the library

-Loves getting to splash around in the pool

This month has been so fun watching you learn and grow, little one! We love you to the moon and back!

Ellie Grace is 8 months old!

I can't believe we are already here! Eleanor has grown so much this month! Perhaps the changes are more evident to me since I've been able to be home with her for the better part of a month on summer break. :)

This month Eleanor:

Continued to blow a lot of bubbles!

Reaches out to be picked up

Claps her hands!

Loves to dance and listen to music :)

Really has the hang of saying "dada"

Rocking back and forth, she's going to take off crawling soon

Still likes to sit primarily, and can spin herself in a circle as she is sitting. She can also go from sitting to her tummy.  

Loves to play peek-a-boo!

Bath time is her favorite. She starts kicking her legs and screeching when we turn on the water!

She got her first tooth! Finally! I feel like she's been teething forever! It is on the bottom, right in front.  

She started going to the nursery in church, we miss her being in church with us but it has made it a little easier to focus, and she likes it!
