11 months old!

Emerson is 11 months old today! This will not be my most eloquent blog post over but that's because I'm writing it on my lunch break...which I have exactly nine minutes left of.  We have had a great month and CAN'T believe that she will be ONE in a few short weeks!

This month Emerson:

Started standing up by herself! It happened the first time I picked her up from her new daycare.  I think she saw the other little boys and decided she wanted to try too!

Says "Mama" and "Dada" The best is when she says it when she sees you first thing in the morning. :)

I started back to school and Emerson started at a new daycare closer to my work.  We miss Nonnie but are grateful that Mrs. Marti is working out. It's nice to be able to take her with me on my drive to work. I just like having her there to jibber jabber back and forth with!
Favorite part of my first week back to school!
Worn out.

Getting acquainted with her new place

Likes to ride on daddy and poppy's shoulders!

Loves to throw a ball!

Started chewing on her pacifier...hopefully this won't become a habit. Lol

Still loves bath time but isn't fond of when we have to put water over her head.

Wearing size 12-18 months-big girl!

Weaning herself off of bottles.  She has 3-4 a day now.

Took another trip to Lufkin for Labor Day. She got to ride on the Rhino for the first time!

Smores at my family's lake house!

Lufkin wore her out.
Sweet girl!
I have had a long day at school and cannot wait to pick up my 11 month old!

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from this past month:

Oh Lord...already has the duck face down!

Figuring out her new toy

Helping Mommy fold laundry..AKA taking the laundry I've already folded and throwing it on the floor!

Poor baby had a double ear infection
Happy 11 months, Emmy girl!

(She wasn't really feeling pictures today...can ya tell?!)

Emmy is 10 months old!

How can we possibly be two months away from her first birthday?  The time is passing SO quickly! I have loved being home with baby girl this summer, but I head back to work on Monday.  I am not ready to start leaving her all day, and I never will be so,  I am placing it in God's hands and praying that he guards our hearts while we're apart.  It sounds so cheesy but being a working mom is the hardest thing I have ever done.  I am blessed to help support our family and passionate about teaching, but sometimes I wish there was another way. Can't I just bring her to work with me? ;)

It's been another great month for her:

Teeth Teeth Teeth! She now has FOUR top teeth. Crazy!

A good shot of her bottom teefers!
She started a high pitch screaming noise.  She loves the way it sounds and is excited about her new voice, other dining patrons--not so much.

We took two trips to Lufkin.  One for July 4th and the other to spend a few days with family.
makeshift nap!
Letting Aunt Jean hold her for a bit
On the go again
Ready to hit the road!
Emmy and Mimi
Standing up, refusing to take a nap in her playpen. Lol

She took her first trip to the zoo while we were there and LOVED it! She would stare at the animals and bounce up and down in my arms because she was so excited.

She's eating level 3 foods but is still not quite sure about the chunky consistency.  Her favorite food is probably pears, but she really likes green stuff as well! Yay!

She spends the majority of her time pulling up on things, and has stood unsupported for a few seconds.  She's strengthening those muscles!

She climbed an entire flight of stairs at my grandparent's house.  (I was next to her)

She has become quite attached to her people.  She does fine if we drop her off at my parent's house or if his mom comes to babysit but she is not okay with us being home and not being in the same room as her.

She is jabbering up a storm but we don't have any "words" yet.

Weighs approximately 22 pounds.  She is getting quite dense and heavy to carry!

Had a playdate with Skylar :)

Has an excellent pincher grip now.  She can grab puffs from our fingers no problem.

Sleeps through crazy loud, frightening thunderstorms.

Finds the TINIEST things to pick up and put in her mouth.  I had my first major freak out when she pulled a string of our carpet up and tried to eat it...but gagged on it instead.  Yikes!

Has a smile that melts us! She is the happiest baby.  I particularly love when she wakes up from her nap and she smiles and talks.  So sweet!

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from this month!

We cannot believe you are already ten months old.  As you grow and change we love you more and more!
